Cathi Nett, Founder & Owner, DanSing Instructor
Cathi Nett founded and directed an international dance/exercise program, developed training curricula for fitness instructors, originated and produced instructional video programs, taught fitness classes at world renowned health spas, local gyms, and fitness conventions. As a “pioneer” of aerobics dance exercise classes, she was trained at the Cooper Institute (Dallas Texas) by Dr. Kenneth Cooper who coined the word “aerobics.” Aerobic classes, a phenomenon of the 1980’s, changed the course of fitness. We still enjoy the benefits today of the work that was done in that era.
Cathi taught music in the San Diego and Orange County public school systems for many years, designed curricula, directed full-scale musical theater productions in high schools, middle schools, and large community theaters. She also taught keyboard classes in several private music academies.
Tracy McClintock, “Aerobics Workshop” Instructor
Tracy McClintock is an American Council of Exercise (ACE) certified instructor who has been teaching fitness classes since 1983. She has a very functional & simple approach to her classes as they are individually paced & modified to accommodate a more comfortable attitude towards getting in shape.

Scott Kenney, Ballroom Dance Instructor
Scott Kenney has over 30 years experience in American Smooth and Rhythm (Latin) Ballroom dance styles. He is Gold Level trained in the waltz, foxtrot, tango, rumba, cha-cha, swing, and salsa. Scott spent 17 years in professional competition dancing as well as pro/am (professional/amateur) dance competitions. Having just moved to San Juan Island in May 2019, Scott is looking forward to sharing Ballroom and Latin dance with Friday Harbor.
